Journey to home (for the funeral of my late Uncle(Aku)) October, 2022
The journey (of two days) began from Thimphu as early as 5 am. The halt in Bumthang and then towards Trashigang. During the journey you will cross almost all the 'Las' (passes). The first pass is dochula (between Thimphu and Punakha/Wangdi), followed by Pelela (between Punakha/Wangdi and Trongsa), Yutongla (between Trongsa and Bumthang), Thrimshingla (between Mongar and Bumthang), Korila (between Trashigang and Mongar). However, you get to miss Kekela (enroute to Bumthang) due to the recent diversion of the highway.
Back to Thimphu, I had to take the domestic ride (from Yonphula to Paro).
